Community Equipment Visibility.

As healthcare shifts into the community, Integrated Care Systems (ICS) – face a critical challenge: keeping track of medical equipment. Critical devices like syringe pumps get lost, found too late, or sit unused because they’re no longer centrally managed.
COMTRACE directly solves this problem.

We provide a smart, location-independent tracking system that makes medical devices visible in real time – whether in hospitals, care homes, or patients’ homes. This saves time, money – and potentially lives.

Our Promise

We give care facilities and mobile services back control of their medical resources – secure, digital, and scalable. By using our technology, not only are losses avoided, but patient safety is enhanced and valuable time is returned to care teams.

COMTRACE offers the solution:
  • Real-time tracking of medical devices – regardless of location
  • Transparent allocation of devices to specific patients or care services
  • Automated return processes and reminders for reuse
  • Affordable Subscription Service

How COMTRACE works

By combining GPS with Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT), COMTRACE enables cost-effective and widespread tracking of medical equipment, even outside traditional hospital infrastructures. GPS provides accurate location data, while NB-IoT (a low-power, wide-area cellular technology) ensures that this information is reliably transmitted to the cloud from remote care homes or private residences. Since NB-IoT is optimized for small data volumes and long battery life, tracking modules can operate for months or even years without requiring frequent maintenance or expensive mobile contracts. This allows COMTRACE to deliver full visibility into equipment usage with minimal technical complexity and operational cost for care providers or the Integrated Care System.
